What We Do
Time 4 Us provides a fun-filled place for children to meet and spend quality time with their non-resident parent
Time4Us is staffed by professional social care workers, who are there to offer support to parents and children if support is required. We realise that it is the quality of time a parent spends with their children which supports positive relationships as opposed to the quantity. For these reasons we actively encourage play and activities to promote positive interactions.
Our help and support, if required is very much non-intrusive as we realise a child’s time with his her parent is precious. That said we are always present should we be required.
We provide varied levels of supported contact between parents and their children depending of individual need. For some people they may require support setting up activities and engaging children, for others they may only need the support of having a venue. Time4Us allows for quality time in a home like environment instead of a busy public fast food outlet or similar. This allows parents to be free from concerns about funding visits as there is no charge for using Time4Us.
It’s a free service, provided afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Time 4 Us is located in the ARD Family Resource Centre, Doughiska in Galway City and is well served by public transport – Bus Eireann 409 leaves from Eyre Square and stops outside the Centre.
